Who is the general manager?

What is the check in / check out time at The Ansonborough?

Guests are welcome to check in after 3:00pm and check out is 12:00pm. Should you arrive before 3:00, we will do our best to get you comfortably in your room as soon as we can. Late check-outs may be available upon request and could be subject to an additional charge.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

We understand that plans change. Due to the size of our hotel, and to guarantee confirmed room types upon arrival, we require that you cancel your reservation at least 72-hours prior to your arrival to avoid being charged for your FULL stay. This policy may change for dates around special events (Wildlife Expo, Bridge Run, New Years, etc.) so please review the specific cancellation policy when your reservation is confirmed.

Does The Ansonborough provide complimentary WiFi?

Yes, the hotel offers complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, including common areas and guestrooms.

What is the hotels smoking policy?

The Ansonborough is a 100% non-smoking hotel. This also includes the Rooftop Garden. Smoking is permitted outside the building. A $200 per-night fee will be assessed if smoking is detected.

Does the hotel allow pets?

Absolutely. Please feel free to bring your dogs with you while traveling. We welcome up to two (2) dogs under 100 pounds with a $40 per pet per night nonrefundable fee, not to exceed $120 per pet per stay. Additional fees may apply if there is damage to the hotel or deep cleaning your room is required upon your departure.

Do you offer complimentary breakfast?

Yes. A continental breakfast featuring chef’s choice of fresh baked goods, seasonal fruit and chilled juice is offered daily at the Scarborough & Squirrel Bar on our ground floor from 7:00am to 10:00am daily. You also have the option to upgrade your breakfast with a selection of sandwiches, quiches or breakfast bowls.

Where can I park?

On-site parking is available for $30 per car per night. Please notify the front desk associate upon arrival to receive a vehicle pass so that your car will not be ticketed or towed.

How do I get to the hotel (directions)?
  • From I-26 EAST – take the Morrison Drive exit and turn left onto Morrison Dr./East Bay Street. Drive approximately 2 miles and turn left at the corner of Hasell and East Bay. We will be on your right.
  • From RT 17 SOUTH – after crossing the Cooper River, take the East Bay Street exit. Turn left at the stop light. Turn left at the corner of Hasell and East Bay. We will be on your right.
  • From RT 17 NORTH – After crossing the Ashley River, exit to the far right and then go to the first traffic signal and turn left on Calhoun Street. Continue for 1.4 miles and turn right onto East Bay Street. Turn left at the corner onto Hasell and we will be on your right.
What room amenities are available to guests?

All of The Ansonborough's rooms are equipped with a mini refrigerator, Keurig Machine, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and flat screen televisions.

Do you have a bar?

Yes! Join us in the Scarborough and Squirrel Bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine, pint of beer or a specialty cocktail and grab some lite fare.

As a historic building, do you have an elevator and is there air conditioning?

Despite our historic charm, The Ansonborough’s fully modern amenities such as high-speed WiFi, in-room climate control, and a delightful glass elevator.
